Top 5 tips to update your Wardrobe without spending heaps

Have you ever open the doors to your wardrobe or pulled out your draws to find that you are always wearing the same items and maybe feel a little stale? I do it quite regularly as i am constantly changing my style to fit me at any given time but it always remains pretty out there when it comes down to it. . . ha ha ha

Because I can not afford to just go out and buy a whole new wardrobe when i feel i want to change my style , well at least freshen up my style. I follow these simple 5 steps to create an array of new outfits.

1. Accessorize :)
Accessories are key to any outfit and changing the ones your wear or the way you wear them can make a big difference, for example When wearing black and white (monochrome) you can choose to match this for a full monochrome look or pair it with a brightly coloured set of accessories to create a look that definitely stands out .

2.  Mix it up :)
Take items you already have and pair them differently and wear them differently. For example if you usually wear your plain shirts with your bright jeans, change it up and match your bright pattern jeans with a bright patterned shirt to clash and be ready to have all eyes on you because you are looking gorgeous!

3.  Lets get crafty :)
Do you have an over abundance of jeans, long skirts, long dresses, plain shirts? Well i did so i grabbed the ones i wasn't in love with anymore, grabbed my scissors and started cutting and pinning and sewing changing them into shorts, mini skirts, mid length dresses and crop tops and used acrylic paint or fabric paint to just go crazy painting. After doing this you truly are unique and individual no one will have the same clothing as you so step out and set the trends you are looking so sassy!

4. Clothing Swap :)
Grab a heap of friends and all of your grab your old clothes, accessories and shoes and have a sleep over, make piles and have a look through if you find something in a friends pile that you like get them to look in your pile and if you both agree then swap, its a very simple cheap way of updating your wardrobe. Also some areas have bigger swaps that are only a gold coin donation so for a dollar or a pound you can have a wider range to look through.

5. Layering :)
You can change an entire outfit by layering, adding a cardigan on top of a cute dress can add to your cuteness or adding a blazer to a simple jeans and shirt creates a more mature look ready for shopping, dinner or going out with the girls =P

Hope you find something in this list that helps you create your dream wardrobe on the cheap
