IRON MAIDEN live @ Brisbane Entertainment Centre 04.05.16

Yesterday i got to go and see one of my favourite bands perform and as you may have guessed by the title it was ... IRON MAIDEN!!

Dougie and I arrived super early with my little brother in tow around 5:15pm and got into the merch tent early and bought ourselves a shirt each.
Gates opened at 5:30pm and then began the wait outside door 5 with my fellow blood brothers, we even bumped into a lad from Sheffield, North Yorkshire and man did he rock out he was great at getting everyone pumped throughout the night.
Once inside the long wait began for the opening band but when they did finally perform... just WOW The Raven Age were just incredible; with spectacular performance energy, a really mind blowing sound that had the crowd going, please definitely check them out as they are worth following. They performed:

2. The Death March
3. Eye among the Blind
4. Merciful one
5. Salems (short)
6. Angel in Disgrace

 After Another wait it was time for IRON MAIDEN and i rocked out so hard it was the best night of my life. They performed:

 All in all this was the best concert i have been to so far and ... THE BEST NIGHT of my life so far!!! a huge thank you from Brisbane

Conquering life's mountains

Last weekend i finally ticked something off my  bucket list and as you may have guessed that was.... climb a mountain and i don't just mean hike up a track i actually climbed a rock face without ropes and it was an absolute thrill and one of my greatest achievements so far. The mountain i climbed up is called Mt. Tibrogargen which is one of the Glasshouse mountains around Beerwah, Queensland. The walking track around Mt. Tibrogargen is approx. 3.3km and it stands around 364m and is the second steepest climb in the range.

 I will admit that the climb was hard at times but the higher up i got, the more driven to reach the summit i became. I am so proud i was able to reach the summit and prove that i can achieve anything i put my mind to be it climb a mountain, travel the world or follow my dreams.

BIG BIG Plans

Over the last couple of months i have put a lot of thought into my life and what i want and something i have wanted for many years now and that is to move back to the UK, so i have put the wheels in motion and it is looking like my adventure will begin in January 2017. Before i go i have a heap of planning to do and i will be bringing you all along for the crazy ride, I also want you to know that my new boyfriend Doug shall be joining me for the journey and that makes me super happy to get to share this with someone as great as him.

The first step for the trip was to go and get Doug a passport, so off we popped into Brisbane and spent the day sorting all sort of things out and we finally submitted his application. So we can tick that off the list, Also i have started to gather more information that will help us out on our trip. If you have an questions please comment below

DIY Customized Shirts

In today's post i am going to run through a couple snazzy ideas on how to customize your shirts; you can use old baggy stretched out shirts or even a shirt that you picked up from K-mart for $3 a pop. In this Case i used option B.


Idea 1: Acrylic Paint

To make the first design i basically splatted paint on one side of the shirt and then folded it in half to create an inkblot test effect

 

 

 

To make the second design i just decided i wanted to make a shirt with an evil pop tart on it so i painted it haha
















Idea 2: Print your own iron on transfers

For This idea you just find an image you want on your shirt, print it shiny side down on iron on transfer paper using an inkjet printer (not a laser printer), Cut out the image as close to the edge as you can, Peel off Backing, Place where you want the design with the grease proof paper on top, Using an iron on high setting apply heat evenly over 30 secondsish and finally once it has slightly cooled gently peel off the grease proof paper to reveal your design

Vacate the roads i am now a Learner Driver ;)

I recently managed to pass the written component of Australia's driving test which means i am now allowed to drive on the roads which in reality is not as dangerous as it sounds haha.

In Australia you have to hold your leaner license for a year and gain 100 hours of driving experience in a multitude of different conditions (Night time, Daytime, rain or shine)

I am honestly not that bad at driving, i have driven for over 10 hours now and i am finding i am loving it. I am hoping to buy my first car soon and i will definitely show you all what i get

5 Top Tips for dressing for work

1. Black is Back... Well really it never went away, nothing screams professionalism like black trousers or a black pencil skirt.

2. Bright coloured shirts can bring a much needed lift to your work attire.

3. Less is more when it comes to make up and jewellery 

4. Find little ways to show off your personality, you could style your hair vintage or you you could wear a piece of personal jewellery like my viking oath band which i made myself.

Fashionably late to 2015

Hello my Lovelies,

I think I may have left the fashionably late thing abit too long but I am back!

I have lots of news to tell you firstly I am now a working woman again.... WOO! 

I work 5 days a week at a roofing manufacturer as their receptionist / administrator which I am loving, It is so challenging and rewarding I don't mind the early starts as I get to come into a wonderful workspace. 

Secondly I have been buying off eBay a lot lately and I am thinking of doing a regular post about what I buy and reviewing the items I receive. Some of the items I buy are knock offs of the name brands but I will be comparing them in value and by quality as well as overall price which should be fun :)

Thirdly I am in search of a new laptop for my blogging as I no longer have my old one, I don't need anything flash just something simple that does the job so any suggestions would be amazingly appreciated. Oh, I almost forgot I got a haircut not long ago and now have a sassy hair do to go with my glowing personality haha, let's see how many people want to see my new hair :)

And lastly I just wanted to say I missed you all heaps and I will not be away so long next time <3

Australis Conceal Correct 4 in 1 Concealer Palette Review

Hello there my lovelies,
I am going to start by explaining how i came across this concealer palette... I was out shopping with hubbo and i told him i was in need of a concealer palette so off we went into Priceline at Kippa ring and i went straight to the lady and asked her what concealer palettes they had and i swear i must have been talking a foreign language as the look she gave me was that of utter confusion. After around a minute a cog clicked in her brain and so the search began and she finally found this product and told me it was the only concealer palette they stocked.... Which is false as i have seen a concealer palette in another Priceline and went back a few days later to let them know for the manager to turn to me and basically call me a liar saying that she knows Australis is the only brand to do a palette at all... well screw you lady...Napoleon Perdis concealer palette & Mac concealer palette.... Check mate :)

Ok story over lets get down to business, I was very impressed with the Australis Concealer Palette overall it has great coverage and the colour correction is perfect for my skin as i usually have a lot of pink tone in my skin.

Pros: 

• Small packaging for easy storage in a make up bag
• Great coverage
• Product smells good
• The palette has a layer for bags under your eyes and a layer for redness and each layer has a regular concealer component 
• At only $12.95 it wont break the bank

Cons:

• It didn't come with an application brush or anything 
• The packaging was hard to open
• It only has one mirror under the first layer and every time i try to use it the layer falls and clips back down which gets real tiring real fast.

1.What is the product you have wanted for the longest time?
Erm..ummm... errrm great start haha, I would probably have to say a MAC foundation and maybe a primer 

2. If you had to wear only one foundation for the rest of your life what would it be?
This one is easy for me i really like the Maybelline dream matte mouse in nude

3.Your house is burning down what product do you grab first?
My concealer palette and then my foundation and then my powder and mascara.... 

4. What is your latest empty product?
I think it would have to be my Elizabeth Arden foundation

5. What quote(s) do you live by?

Since i was 10/12 years old so almost 10/12 years which kind of sucks the fact i haven't mastered winged eye liner yet haha

A vanir like the god Frey and goddess Freyja they are closely tied in to elves which i love :)

What i have learned in 6 months of marriage so far

Hey there my lovelies,
I decided to write a blog post today on 6 things i have learned from 6 months they may seem quite derogatory towards my husband but hey i think you all have a right to know what to expect after 6 months of marriage...

1. Never ask a man to do anything like laundry etc... they bring it back up like they got a big shiny medal for first place at the laundry Olympics.

2. Not having everything in common is a really good thing... you can go off and do your hobbies and he can go do his, this way you don't end up in a D&D game wondering how many dice you can fit up your nose..

3. It is completely acceptable to break out into a one person musical when the occasion arises aka hanging out laundry, walking down the hall even shopping for clothes... however people don't randomly join in like a really bad version of glee unless you count the chick two racks down who sings like someone put a cassette tape on fast forward ... 

4. Men complain more than women... just putting it out there but i believe my opinion is completely justified when a man can find a way to complain about missing their half swirl on top of their sundae.

5. Men have no concept of time.. when they say i will be there in 15 minutes, what they really mean is i haven't even finished my conversation yet so i am still almost 35 minutes away

6. No matter how hard you try you will always forget your last name and people will look at you like they think you have the brain capacity of a brick sat on a sponge.
